Tanya Grimolfson
Since opening the Spa and Boutique in Gimli there have been questions about who the Powder Princess is. Well, let me tell ya...
Tanya is a Beauty Therapist with over 20 years experience in the beauty industry. She is an Esthetician, Hair stylist and Freelance Makeup Artist.
In the past she has had the pleasure to work in Los Angeles on a number of different Runway shows, film, and fashion forward events.
Tanya’s vast experience, combined with training by some of the industry’s most highly regarded professionals, sees her clients transformed into their best selves. Tanya always ensures her clients leave her spa feeling recharged and rejuvenated.
Tanya has created her own signature makeup line which is a cute unique brand “Royal Beauty”, a spin off from her spa name “The Powder Princess”! She has also branded the Royal Beauty Box which is a beauty box filled with a wide variety of different trendy goodies.
Tanya truly loves what she does as it’s evident with how she makes people feel when they leave from a service with her. She takes enjoyment in learning the hottest trends and keeping up with what’s new. Tanya takes pride in her business and hopes she can be fortunate enough to do what she Ioves for the rest of her life.
Additionally, Tanya has completed a Barbicide Covid-19 safety course and a PREempt Infection Prevention Training in order to keep her spa and clients as safe as possible during this pandemic.

Melanie Johannesson
Now that you have met the Powder Princess, let me introduce you to another member of the Royal Family. Melanie is her name, and she is so much fun to be around, so genuine and is a huge asset to our Fam!
Melanie is a multi-talented, free spirited, fun and creative soul who had a wake-up call from the universe several years ago following a breast cancer diagnosis. Her commitment to getting to the root of her disease has taken her on a journey exploring many diverse modalities of healing including Art, Yoga, Energy Therapy, Emotional Release, as well as Intuitive and Spiritual Guidance.
Throughout Mel’s life in Riverton, she raised 3 children and had been self employed as a hairdresser for 22 years. Although she still dabbles in the hair industry, she shifted her main focus to work with the healing arts.
Melanie has studied and has a special appreciation for how Yoga, Energy Work and Coaching can assist with healing the imprints of stress, PTSD, trauma and addictions.
Melanie is an artist, a writer, an Integrated Energy Therapy Master Instructor, a certified Journey Code Life Coach and also leads Trauma Informed Yoga Sessions.
Her passion for helping others really shines through when she deeply connects with the human soul. She has a loving ability to hold space and “hear “ others in subtle ways other than speech.
She knows and believes that healing, transformation and freedom is always within reach.
Melanie’s message to you is that you have the power to lovingly co create your own life. You just need someone who believes in you, to show you how it feels, so you can learn to believe in yourself.

Jenna Stansell
We would like to formally introduce Jenna Stansell. 
Jenna is a multi talented, hard working, and loving mama. Her and her husband are currently raising 3 beautiful girls in the community where she was raised, Arborg Manitoba.
We are so fortunate that Jenna always adds unique and creative touches to the boutique. She is the creative genius behind the displays and setup. Her floral displays and creations can be found in both the spa and boutique.
Jenna has amazing organizational skills, and is always on the ball. She is hardworking, and everything must be perfect. We often call her the “Monica” of the group for all you Friends fans out there.

Desarae Bilinski
Desarae is our spokeswoman, model, fitness instructor, dancer, and more.
Des is also our health and wellness expert. She has been in the fitness industry for ten years with many certifications behind her belt. She teaches a wide variety of classes such as Zumba, hiit, boot camps, yoga, aqua, and more.
She is a professional model signed with the Panache agency, and has done lots of runway work, and photoshoots for local and international jobs.
Desarae is also a part of Motivate Canada as a youth leader on the team.
Improving the lives of others has always been a top priority in her life, with a particular focus around youth involvement and engagement. She has been actively involved in the Friendship Centre movement for the last seven years in different capacities as a volunteer, employee and youth representative on provincial and national Councils.
She is currently the Youth Programs Coordinator at the Riverton & District Friendship Centre and is the National AYC President.
In these capacities, she has always advocated strongly to reduce the stigma around mental health as she believes it’s equally as important as your physical health, and by maintaining both you will find balance.

Martine Sawanas
Martine is originally from Deer Lake Ontario, the land of treaty 5. She currently resides in Riverton MB with her 3 sons.
Martine speaks fluent oji-cree as well as english.
Martine is creative, hardworking, and great at multi-tasking. She is a former LPN in which she recieved her diploma in 2004 from a 3 yr LPN program at Confederation College in Thunder Bay, ON.
She is currently the cultural worker at the Riverton & District Friendship Center where she has worked since Oct. 2009.
Martine has been massaging for a year specializing in Swedish and hungarian techniques.

Kristina Kostiv
Kristina moved to Canada from a small resort town of Kamianets-Podilskyi in Ukraine.
She is 26 years old and has been married for 6 years to Micheal also from Ukraine. They met in University and fell in love 
Kristina graduated from university in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She is so very creative and loves to draw.
She has been working as a Master Manicurist since 2015, bringing her 7 years experience to Gimli.
Kristina also has a love of cooking and you can follow her on her culinary blog “Kristinakey.blog on Instagram and TikTok.
